Refund & cancellation policy for Doorsy

Refunds & Cancellations Policy

Effective Date: April 25, 2026

This Refunds & Cancellations Policy explains how cancellation and refund requests are handled for services booked through the Doorsy mobile application, operated by Devhoppers by Aman Kumar Gupta.

1. Overview

Doorsy is a service facilitation platform that connects users with professionals and supports service-related processes.

Once a service request is placed, processing may begin shortly after confirmation. As a result, cancellations and refunds may be limited once work has started.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation requests are accepted only if the service has not yet started.
  • If a service has been assigned, reviewed, or initiated, cancellation may not be possible.
  • Requests for services that are already completed or substantially processed cannot be cancelled.

3. Refund Policy

Refunds are considered in cases where a service cannot be delivered due to an issue attributable to Doorsy.

Refunds may be approved in situations such as:

  • The service could not be initiated due to a confirmed internal or technical issue
  • Payment was successful but the corresponding order was not created
  • Duplicate payment was made for the same service
  • A valid cancellation request is approved before processing begins

4. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will generally not be provided in the following situations:

  • Incorrect or incomplete information provided by the user
  • Invalid, missing, or incorrect documents submitted
  • Service outcomes affected by eligibility or third-party decisions
  • Delays caused by external authorities or service providers
  • Services that have already been processed or completed

5. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved:

  • It will be issued to the original payment method
  • Processing typically takes 5–10 business days
  • Actual timelines may vary depending on banks or payment providers

6. Charges & Deductions

  • Certain platform fees, convenience charges, or third-party fees may be non-refundable
  • The final refundable amount (if any) depends on the stage of service processing

7. Failed or Pending Payments

If your payment is deducted but the order is not confirmed:

  • Please allow time for automatic updates or reversals
  • If the issue persists, contact support with payment details

8. Requesting a Refund or Cancellation

To submit a request, please provide:

  • Registered name
  • Phone number
  • Order or payment reference
  • Reason for the request

9. Review & Approval

All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approval depends on:

  • The stage of service processing
  • Payment status
  • Validity of the request

Final decisions are made at the discretion of Doorsy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date.
